Melanie Brown, or as most people call her, Mel B, is a songwriter, singer, dancer, actress, author and model from the UK. Mel rose to prominence when she was a part of the popular all-girls group Spice Girls. She was nicknamed Scary Spice and throughout the years of them touring between 1996 and 2000, they grossed around $800 million! However, Mel decided she wanted to go solo and released her first album in 2000. It was a great success and she carried on with her solo career by making singles until she came out with her second album in 2005.
